 Clips from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms             Story Summary The epic struggle in China between 189AD to 230AD. The anime shows us the various important scenes and characters of these troubled times and how they strieved for survival and their own greed for power. The story starts off with us seeing Liu Bei sending horses to a merchant, then later his oath of brotherhood to Guan Yu and Zhang Fei and their adventures. Comments Not everything was followed word by word from the original author's book nor to the histroic novels. For instance, Liu Bei was a shoe maker and not a horse delievery man.... However, being a fan of this series and having played the various games produced by KOEI ranging from the first installment of the Strategy game to the current 10th and also reading the novels a few times, its no wonder I am attached to the story. Its more than just a few people going around killing other people, but there is much to learn from this lesson of history. the alternative name for this in Japance is "Sangokushi". Recommendations Too much bloodshed for the younger audience.... Especially scenes where we see Dong Zhuo torturing innocent women and ripping them apart is enough to make some people turm off. Even adults.,br> |
