  Clips from the Gensomaden Saiyuki    Clips from the Sauyuki Reloaded             Story Summary Gensomaden Saiyuki is a remake of the popular chinese classic "Journey to the West". However this time the story was twisted to give you a new twist and a refreshing new look at the original script. The story is is the same, Going to India and doing the work of what some higher level immortal wanst them to do, even Goku, like the original was saved by Sanzo. However.... their personalities are very very much distorted from the original. The Divine Monk has blonde hair, carries a silver pistol and shots at will alomst mercilessly..... Our super monkey is a kid with a huge appetite and very immature. Out ugly lustful pig is now a charming, hip, cool, rocker style humaniod and smoking. Then the barbaric sea demon has been transformed into a gentleman at all times and carries a smiles at every instant. lastly our heroic white stallion is a mini flying dragon that changes into a green JEEP!!! Yeeks!! Comments Had negative thoughts about this anime at first because of the extreme twist, but after watching it for the first time I was hooked and spent the next 6 hours finishing the first 6 VCDs of the Saiyuki Reloaded series. Recommendations If you are a strong fan of the original Journey to the West or a devoted monk you better keep away because this really distorts it to the full extreme. If you are like me, who loves a new and refreshing twist with good comic relief, go for it :) |
